Inspection

(Lat. inspection, from inspectus, pp. of inspicere, to look into) Rudimentary knowledge of qualities and relations between qualities as given in immediate experience, (see Presentational Immediacy) in contradistinction to perception, memory, introspection and other higher cognitive processes which are conversant not with qualities but with objects. — L.W.
