Inscription of Autun

Discovered, 1839 , in which Pectorius (3rd century) celebrates in Greek verse the Ichthus (fish), symbol of the Eucharist : “Take the food, honey-sweet, of the redeemer of the saints, eat and drink holding the Fish in thy hands.”
