Charles de La Rue

Jesuit orator, born Paris, France, 1643; died there, 1725. His funeral oration on Bossuet, and sermons on “The Dying Sinner” and on “Public Calamities” are regarded as masterpieces; he is the author of several tragedies and excellent Latin poems.
