Martyr (421 ). Bishop of Susa, Persia. During the reign of Yezdegerd, he destroyed a Zoroastrian fire-temple; in retaliation a general destruction of all churches was ordered, followed by persecution, and Abdas was clubbed to death. Feast , 5 September .
