(Heb. Chadlay’, , resting; Sept. v.r. , Vulg. Adali), the father of Amasa, which latter was one of the Ephraimites who opposed the enslavement of the captives of Judah in the civil war between Pekah and Ahaz (2Ch 28:12). B.C. ante 738.
