Melrose, Scotland, founded, 1150 , by Hugo de Morville, Constable of Scotland. It belonged to the Premonstratensian Canons . Burnt by Edward II, 1322 , it was restored under Robert I. The tomb of Sir Walter Scott attracts many visitors.
